Solution At a Glance
With the ALXTEL Callback Platform Solution, providers can choose between four types of callback service: ANI, PIN-based, Web, or SMS – or they can provide all four.

The basic concept behind callback is to be able to make a call to a destination without completing an outgoing call. This Callback Platform Solution is most popular in areas where VoIP is regulated or where outgoing international GSM and landline calls are expensive
How does it work?
Callback service allows the end-user a huge savings on international calling, without having to make an outgoing call on their landline or GSM phone. Below, the steps for the end-user are outlined.
- ANI CALLBACK
- Dial access phone number from any landline or GSM phone.
- A busy tone is heard and call is disconnected, resulting in no charge for the call.
- ALXTEL Callback System recognizes the user’s phone number and scans database for this number.
- If the number is found in the database, the system calls the user back.
- The IVR asks the user to dial their destination number.
- Call is connected.
- User is billed accordingly in real-time.
- PIN-BASED CALLBACK
- Dial access phone number from any landline or GSM phone.
- A busy tone is heard and call is disconnected, resulting in no charge for the call.
- ALXTEL Callback System recognizes the user’s phone number and calls them back.
- The IVR asks user to enter their PIN.
- Once PIN is authenticated, IVR announces money remaining.
- The IVR asks the user to dial their destination number.
- Once destination is entered, IVR announces time remaining.
- Call is connected.
- User is billed accordingly in real-time.
- WEB CALLBACK
- User inputs username and password to login.
- ALXTEL Callback System authenticates username and password.
- User enters their phone number and the destination number where they would like to call.
- User can schedule the call immediately or for anytime in the future.
- ALXTEL Callback System dials both phone numbers and connects them.
- User is billed accordingly in real-time.
- SMS CALLBACK
- Users send an SMS to the system including their PIN Number and the destination number where they would like to call.
- ALXTEL Callback System authenticates the user and dials both phone numbers and connects them together.
- User is billed accordingly in real-time.
